Kgosi

Kgosi is a smaller specimen of the potbellied leafbrawlers, found in the south-african forests. They are slow movers and growers, thanks to their sloth-like metabolism. Their belly grows with their age and can take up to 75% of their bodyweight. The slow movements change however, when they go hunting. The toxins from their stinger-appendage have a secret function. It kills prey, but when injected in themselves it ramps up their metabolism by a thousandfold. Hunting parties can be seen stinging each other, zooming away and returning with significantly smaller bellies from the calorie burning. A feast and weeklong nap often follows.
